On December 12th, 2009, the Korean Consul General invited KADC to his residence for dinner.

On December 9th, 2009, KADC held a fundraiser for Hon. Assemblymember Ted Lieu for his Candidacy of CA Attorney General at Solair Condominium in Los Angeles.

On October 15th, 2009, KADC held a ceremony for Laura Shin and Alex Cha at Solair. Laura has accepted a position in the Office of the General Counsel at the Department of Homeland Security in Washington, DC. As a result, Alex was sworn in as the new President of KADC. KADC congratulates Laura and Alex for their tremendous contributions and accomplishments.

On Saturday, August 1, 2009, KADC held a lunch with Congresswoman Mazie K. Hirono (2nd District of Hawaii) at Park’s Barbeque.

The Korean American Democratic Committee welcomed their new Executive Board at the Annual KADC Installation Dinner at Yong Su San Korean Restaurant on July 23rd. The Honorable California State Controller John Chiang was the evening keynote speaker. The following individuals were sworn in during the dinner by the Honorable William Min.

On June 19th, 2009, KADC host a reception at Blink for David S. Kim to celebrate his appointment to the Obama Administration as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Governmental Affairs at the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Mark Keam is running for the Virginia House of Delegates from the 35th District. Keam’s range of accomplishments include: attorney to the FCC, Assistant Chief Counsel for Advocacy at the SBA, and Chief Counsel to Dick Durbin at the Senate Judiciary Committee. He has also served on the following boards: Governor Kaine’s Asian American Advisory Board, DC Hate Crimes Task Force, and the Northern Virginia Democratic Business Council. On April 8th, 2009, KADC will be holding a reception for Keam at the Summit on Sixth. Please join us if you like to meet Keam and hear the latest news on his campaign.
